Hanukkah Blessing :- Happy Hanukkah is an eight day festival of lights. For eight days menorah is lit. A menorah is a candle-stand which has nine branches, usually the eight branches of Menorah are of the same height and one branch is higher to the rest eight branches. This usually high branch is known as Shamash. On the very first night of Hanukkah the candle on the leftmost side of the Menorah is lit with the help of Shamash, then on the second day second candle is lit. the candles are always lit from left to right. The reason why candles are lit is in remembrance of the miracle which happened around 2200 years back when the Maccabees won over the larger Syrian army and the rededication of the temple was done in Jerusalem. At that time there was only a small amount of purified olive oil was there to light the lamp for one night but it miraculously lasted for eight nights. So this is the reason why menorah is lit for eight days and hanukkah is an eight day celebration. In hebrew the word Hanukkah means rededication. Hanukkah symbolises the rededication of the temple by the Jews. In This collection of Hanukkah Blessings, Hanukkah Story, Happy Hanukkah Songs, and hanukkah menorah, we are sharing with you.
